Threads of Wisdom
The Mission
Stories are the most powerful tool for connection, intricately weaving the tapestry of humanity, ensuring that the threads of shared experiences endure through time. Unfortunately, individuals frequently don’t have a platform to share and preserve their stories, life experiences, and wisdom. Threads of Wisdom provides a permanent home for individuals whose stories are otherwise unheard and undervalued.
The Founder
Sabrina Licht is an 11th grader at Ramaz Upper School in New York City. Being the descendant of Holocaust survivors, Sabrina deeply understands the ways stories can be both remembered and left behind. This inspired her to capture the stories, not only of survivors but of people with myriad life experiences to record the wisdom they have to offer.
The Action
At Threads of Wisdom, we are story collectors. We take the time to have conversations with people, to learn about their diverse experiences and backgrounds. At the heart of these interviews, we discover the most impactful wisdom that they have gathered throughout their lives. This site serves as an ever-growing home for this wisdom, a place for the stories to live on.
